I personally believe they should have not tried to let him score 30 every game and let Redparth do some more.

Do you suggest they tell him not to score & shoot?

Not how I meant it, I mean obviously it worked for them they made the region championship.

Redparth is a really good player however and I just felt like it could have benefited them if they got him involved a little more. That's just my opinion I mean obviously I don't know much, but I feel like it could have made them better.

But Jordan Perry is really good, I personally believe they should have not tried to let him score 30 every game and let Redparth do some more.

Next year they might not have a choice, and he may end up scoring 30 a game. He's that good. What's his alltime point total? He's been playing varsity since he was in 7th grade I think

Not real sure but I think its between 2500 to 2600. Morgan should be as good next year. I know they lose Redparth and that hurts, but don't discount the fact that those returning kids will put in a lot of hard work to get ready for next season.

If he replicates what he did this year, with likely more points honestly, he could be top 5 in scoring alltime in the state.

With perry on that team there's no way you can count Morgan out of any game.

I think he is at 2549 career points. Morgan had 5 games that were not made up due to weather also.

Congratulations to Elliott. They've won 4 titles since Ashland has won one.

Biggs just needs a little more time to get back to how things were before he came to town. I'm starting to feel like an Indiana fan.

Congrats to Elliot though, for some reason I've always pulled for them if Ashland was out of it.

yes yes yes and yes.

Sorry people I was replying and not replying with quote. I will learn!!!This post and the one above was meant to be quotes.

ha ha sorry man. That is funny...

ha ha sorry man that is funny

Take out Vanhoose knee inury and Elliot has 3 not 4.

Listen, Im as Elliott as it gets.. trust me.....Coach Adkins is an awesome coach. I never played for Coach Mays, nor have I had any family member play for him. However, as an ECHS alumni as well as another somewhat big role in ECHS, I will say that Coach Mays does not hold a candle to Coach Adkins. Coach Adkins is the most humble, good natured man you will ever meet. It took Coach Mays almost 30 years to win a region championship, or even a district championship. It has taken Coach Adkins five years. Nothing against Coach Mays, but we will take our Coach any day of the week over any in the state. We at ECHS are all so proud of what he has done with our boys.

And thanks Professer for your congratulations to us and our coach. Means a lot!!!!

Congratulations to Coach Atkins and his Elliott County team! Small school doing big things. I know former long time coach Rick Mays is a happy dude right now.

No offense brother... but give Elliott the credit because we were the best team in this tourney. Boyd, Rowan, Morgan.....It takes more then other teams having an off night to win those tough games. Thanks for the props you did give our boys though!

Didn't know the little PG was a freshman. No disrespect to him-I think he's a tough little player. And now knowing how young he is, I'm impressed in his ability. He could develop into a very nice player.

Just very frustrating to see a prime opportunity to win a title slip by. Give Elliott credit, though. They were prepared, they executed well, and made nice adjustments as the game went along, and they won because of that.

I've just always been confused at watching MC play...it's like they are more concerned with executing a pre-established game-plan, instead of attacking to win or instead of making adjustments based on actual game scenarios. Case-in-point...that offensive scheme. How do you coach an entire season and by the end of the year, have not learned to maximize your talent through appropriate sets/strategies?

No riots as this was not a big surprise, but the county was very excited!!! We had a nice parade last night!!

Congrats to the Hooker`s , think there will be a riot in sandy hook tonight for the great win!!!! As most know I`m a Greenup fan , but there`s some then about a group of kids that play hard, play the game right, and as a team. And not really 1 kid getting all the credit. A true team, with some talent and good coaching. They seem to be out to win , and not for there self... So congrats to Elliott Co , Now win a few more at Rupp.
