Why is that such a violation of their rights? I've got no problem with that at all. They are being denied currently because they want the guns and ammo secured in separate locations.

I have no problem with gun safety, I also have no problem with gun owners who through acts of negligence in gun safety being held accountable when a tragedy occurs.
March 9, 201511 yr I still don't think it is discrimination. It is more of a situation of being overly cautious but not discrimination. Hopefully the bill will be passed allowing them to adopt but I don't see this as discrimination or an infringement on their rights to bear arms.

Can you imagine the outrage if an adopted kid or foster kid who has issues takes pop's gun to school and something awful happens? In this day and age every step and measure is being made to avoid those types of situations and those measures extend beyond belief. IMO this is one of those measures.

My point is that if the CPS is going to mandate that anything that could possibly cause an accidental death be locked up that would be seen as absurd. Just as absurd as requiring guns and ammo be stored separately.
