I know Hillary is extremely unpopular amoung conservatives. I think that only clouds their preception of Hillary's popularity, which is actually much higher than conservatives think.

 

And much lower than liberals think.

Also its rather comical and enlightening on twotoplace's views that he says " its up to the R's to run better candidates " In case you havent noticed the R's are running candidates from hard right to middle to middle left . If the pack containing Walker , Paul, Christie, Huckabee , Carson and a 1/2 dozen others doesnt offer someone better the HIl to stand behind then maybe , just maybe , I'll just guessing here , maybe you wouldnt support an R if Saddam Hussein was the D candidate . Forgot she wrote her thesis about Alinsky and compared his actions to those of Martin Luther King Junior.

 

She is definitely a child of Alinsky - even at 67 years old and after a recent concussion.

We can revisit this in about a year and a half in November of 2016, but there isn't anyway that she isn't elected. The gains that the republicans had this past election are of no concern for a democratic president, as those gains were in areas that most likely wouldn't vote democratic anyway.

 

I don't have the info with me at this time, but right out the gate she would be just short of 270 without even trying.

 

Republicans need to find a candidate that has broad appeal that independents and some democrats can get behind, but that would upset the ultra conservatives.

 

 

All truth. The problem is that the dumb Old Party has been pulled so far to the crazy right that the candidate will not have broad enough appeal to beat Hillary. As you said, she could almost reach 270 without even trying. Maybe the Republicans will gain the White House again around 2084, but I doubt if they will sniff it that soon. They have only their nutty, xenophobic, misogynistic, science-denying selves to blame.

I pray Hillary is the Dem nominee.

Barring something Health wise coming up for Hillary, I don't see a legit candidate running against her. It's almost like, "It's her turn, we owe it to her". Much like when Bob Dole and John McCain ran.

 

And we know how those turned out for the Republicans. I agree with Guru. If the Dems want to keep the White House, they better at least vet Hilary with another strong primary candidate (and it needs to be someone other than Joe Biden).
