March 4, 201511 yr Lot of discussion in the Regents thread but no final score thread. Disappointing loss, Norse had their chances to win. But all in all a solid building year for NKU to finish 4th in conference and just a game behind 3rd and the roster is still young and should get better with only two seniors. 2014-2015 13-17 (7-7) 2013-2014 9-21 (5-13) 2012-2013 11-16 (9-9) One more year before being eligible for the NCAA's.
March 4, 201511 yr tough loss I know they were leading late. I thought they were eligible next season.
March 4, 201511 yr That was a fun game to watch and its a shame NKU couldn't pull it out but they have a lot to look forward to in the future. Edited March 4, 201511 yr by nkufan23
March 4, 201511 yr Author So the Norse are not eligible for the NCAA tournament next year either? Unless they get some type of exemption like they did this year with the Conference postseason. This was their third season in Division I. The original probationary period is four years.
March 4, 201511 yr Good to hear. Imagine 1800 people in the BOK. That's how it looked on TV. Seemed like a good, rowdy crowd. I really thought NKU would pull it out.
March 4, 201511 yr So the Norse are not eligible for the NCAA tournament next year either? No, but they could qualify for the NIT or another tournament if they could win the conference or conference tournament.
March 4, 201511 yr Not sold out but solid crowd. Nice touch having a lot alumni from NCAA D2 finalist there.
March 4, 201511 yr What was the crowd like? 70% capacity? NKU boxscore/website has attendence at 1157 Northern Kentucky University Athletics - Men's Basketball vs Lipscomb on 3/3/2015
