Before anyone else jumps to anymore conclusions, did they say why he wasn't ready? There are a ton of reasons he may not be ready.

Combination of things which are partially outlined in this article.

Didn't do baseball activities for 8-10 months since he focused on rehab. Slightly out of baseball shape.

More bullcrap. If I'm a professional baseball player, I rehab with the intent of playing baseball. And with all due respect, this ain't the NBA. And he's not taking the bump and tossing 120 pitches every 5th. There's just not that much to get in shape for.

Even Crash will have to agree with that, even though he's the standard apologist.

He plays defense in a 20ft radius. He takes a quick little jog the appropriate 10-15 feet on every ground ball. Then gets more down time than Linda Lovelace.

Oh, and he leads the world in walks, another jog.

You're old.

You're old.

Obviously he is too.

You would be the first to complain if he wasn't physically or mentally ready to be on the field. Do you really want a guy that is accustomed to a certain # of swings prior to live pitching or game swings before he's ready? Much ado about nothing.

How damn long does it take? Come on. Spring training is for getting ready? Correct? Now he not ready to get ready? He's a joke. I'd be shocked if he plays 90 games this season. Freakin' shocked.

In the 70's, yes. Now, most guys come in ready and in the best shape they'll be in for the entire season. If he doesn't feel the rest of his body is there because he had to rehab is knee, why rush?

Because people want to complain when he misses a few meaningless games (not even games actually, 2-3 ABs before being pulled).

If I have a star player at any level that doesn't feel like they are 100% and I have the option to sit them through a few meaningless games, you bet your rear I'm doing it.

SEVERE PANIC!

Severe pampered vag if you ask me. No panic needed. Same ole same ole.
