As someone completely in the dark on Catholic schools, can you explain the difference between a parish school and a district school? I often see St. Henry listed as St. Henry District but don't see that with any other Catholic schools in northern Kentucky or Louisville.

Basically it means that certain high school serves as the Catholic High School for multiple parishes, not just one. It has a district of Parishes. New Cath, Brossart, Holy Cross, Cov Cath, Notre Dame, and Saint Henry are all district high schools.

NO! It was my senior year (1984) when "they" invaded "our" space. :)

I would think the boys at NC were pretty happy when this "invasion" occurred...

Luckily, I never went to an all boys school...doesn't sound like as much fun to me...

The KHSAA website lists Laurel Co as having 1 state title and South Laurel having one, so according to them they are different schools.

I would guess Allen Co and Allen Co-Scottsville are considered seperate schools, but I couldn't find that information for sure.

I have the Sweet 16 programs from earlier in the 2000s when they used to list how many times each school had been to the Sweet 16 and record by round. It simply lists Allen County and adds the titles to it that they won when they became Allen County-Scottsville. So it lists Allen County with 10 titles while that school only won 8 and the consolidated school won two more. The KHSAA is not awfully consistent, so I typically make up my own mind about those things.

Pre-Invasion.......you could fart in class, didn't need to take a shower after gym class, didn't have to worry about acne, & you could get up 30 minutes before school started and come to school with "bed-head".

Post-Invasion.......fart in class, forget about a girlfriend the rest of the year, shower after gym class was a MUST!!!, sales in acne products went through the roof, & most important.....you had to get up an hour and a half before school to look good for the ladies.

My first 3 years at NewCath were a blast, and honestly my senior year, when the girls arrived, was just as good. However, if I had my choice......all boys, just a lot less drama.

Heck LB, we had plenty of guys at HHS who fit your "pre-invasion" description to a tee...even with the girls around.

A guy who lived across the hall from me at UK went to Covington Catholic. He said the best part of going to CovCath was exactly what you listed in the "pre-invasion"! :lol2:
