All State Baseball Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Tonight and last week's Raw were crappy. When will it end and take a turn for the better? I don't expect a winner out of the Regins Bryan match at Fastlane since Vince has changed his mind about the Wrestlemania main event and added Daniel Bryan to the title match. One thing is for sure if Raw keeps going the route it is now. The viewership will continue to crumble. Randy Orton and Sheamus needs to hurry up and return.
Randy Parker Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I used to watch wrestling all the time up through college, but I haven't been following closely until the last 4-6 months or so. So much of it is redundant & way more soap opera-ish than it used to be, but there are some really good, original characters in WWE. But I tend to agree with your analysis of Raw the last couple of weeks. They botched the Royal Rumble big-time, but I think are making a bigger mistake in attempting to correct that. I don't understand the fan fascination with Daniel Bryan. Although he's a gifted technical wrestler, he is my least favorite on the roster by far.
PP1 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Seems like the show is on for 20 minutes or so before there is an actual match. I guess this has been the common practice for years.

Daniel Bryan was and is a hot superstar, even before he got injured but I'm not sold on him so much anymore as I once was.
DragonFire Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 3 hours kills Raw. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard they were moving to three hours whenever that was last year. Mostly because not only did I think they shouldn't do that, but because I feel like they should eliminate Smackdown as well. Plain and simple, the WWE has way too much programming in a single week and not nearly enough compelling storylines to drive it. I can't remember when I last watched wrestling consistently, but it was true then too. Everything I read and hear reaffirms it's still that way.
All State Baseball Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 I honestly believe that 3 hours is hurting Raw. They need to go back to 2 hours and stop doing so much talk on the mic.

I am not sure about the show a week ago but I agree Raw this Monday was weak. Too many placeholder matches to get the WWE to Fastlane/Wrestlemania. I did enjoy tag team turmoil on Smackdown last week. To me, a sure sign the WWE is hurting is when they play the Rollins/Ziggler card. And they are playing it twice this week.
theguru Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 For all the 2 hour talk there is good news: He (Triple H) said he would: Make Raw two hours again. Give the Divas more time in the ring. Develop stories more slowly and over a longer period of time. Allow promos to be less scripted. That last point implies that a Triple H-run WWE would have a freer environment, one more conducive to creativity. Wrestlers will have a better chance to find their voices. That means less Ringmasters and more "Stone Cold" Steve Austins. Imagining a WWE Product with Triple H as the Lead Creative Voice | Bleacher Report
