In the instances he was referring to the post player had his hands straight up. It was all body contact.

 

At the high school level when you drive aggressively as Holmes did you're typically going to get some calls. Last night it was a no call every time. You can't tell me out of the 10 times or so Holmes attacked the basket every time the defender was straight up. Mullins and McClendon both got raped at least twice a piece attacking the basket. Officials didn't seem to mind blowing the whistle the other way however in the second half, especially after coach Dawn worked the officials for a couple minutes at half time. It is what it is, New Cath is talented and the better team probably won.

Bolden 3-3 free throws on a bogus call. I remember seeing that in the update thread. I bet if it had been Pangallo shooting the 3 it wouldn't have been bogus. Actually Bolden gets fouled a lot even on his made baskets due to the elevation he gets on his shot, gets hit on the wrist quite a bit. We all have our opinions, it's all good.

I liked the fight and toughness Holmes showed in the paint tonight. I thought that Arnold did a heck of a job on McDonald and he worked his butt off doing it. I thought we saw some flashes out of Jaiden Greene who had a nice little turnaround bank shot.

Without Avery, Holmes was a bit limited in scoring options and struggled to get clean looks from the perimeter. Other times they would drive into the meat of the defense and force up contested shots.

If Bolden was sick he really didn't show too many effects. The kid should be POY in the region. He gets double-teamed night after night and still produces.

Weyer for NCC is a heck of a player. He may be the best player NCC has. Pangallo is really solid and probably look to score more than he does. You can see that he has really developed his body over the last few years.

Going forward, NCC better cut down on their turnovers.

NCC has the best combination of talent heading into the region, but can they string some games together and win it?

From vantage point, it looked like an "Academy Award" performance by Bolden. If it was Pangallo I would have said we got a "gift". Like you said, "we all have our opinions, and it's all good".

Who won the JV Game??????

This was second have of double header at BOKC so there were no JV games. However, in a strange twist, CovCath played Dixie and NCC played Holmes in the JV regional semi finals today. CovCath and NCC both advanced to the finals.

I think he's the best all around player in the 9th region. NKU Better offer him before USC Upstate does.

How he plays this summer will dictate where he winds up. Plenty of opportunity to be seen by all coaches.

Best is hard to define on a talented team.

 

Weyer is the hardest to account for. Can play inside. Can hit the 3. Can put the ball on the floor in the halfcourt sets. Can run the floor on the break. Can jump and block shots.

 

I agree he is their best player.
