knightsdad Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 LexCath wide receiver Cornel Burbage will be joining New Mexico State University and Hal Mumme according to WLEX TV. Should be a good fit for Cornel. Way to go!
3wishes Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Congrats to him. Good fit with Mumme's offense. Burbage was a good route runner.
cshs81 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Glad to see the young man get the chance to play D1. However, I'm disappointed a)its so far away and b)its for the ultimate in "shady".
sccards60 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I saw on WLEX that Hal Mumme got a commitment from the Lexington Catholic Wide Receiver. He should probally do well there since the type of plays that he was used to in high school are similar to the type of things that Mumme does.

I didnt even know Hal Mumme was coaching at New Mexico State. When did he get the job there?
stick1 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Congrats to Cornell! I think he did a lot of growing up this year. If he keeps his head on in college I really think he will be VERY productive there. He is definatly one of the better route runners in High School that I have ever seen.
MountainThunder Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Congrats to him. I played against his dad and it is nice to see Cornell's son get to play D1 football as well!
SLINK Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Congrats to the young man. I hope he has a lot of self-discipline because he won't get any under Coach Mophead.
