He is asking because it is a Republican controlled Congress. If they grant it, they are the bad "war mongers", if they don't, they hate America.

Depends on what it is. There have been some things he's done I've been on board with, very few and far between, but that's mostly because we disagree politically and philosophically. On just about everything foreign policy, he's been a total blunderer. Completely inept.

Your ideas are based in the writings and ideology of communist, Marxist, and racist - but you will only admit it when it suits your agenda, and only then very quietly.

 

When what you believe in and forced down peoples throats fails, you still blame people who have some sense and say "we are now doing it your way" or "the reason it failed is because everyone didn't buy in".

I don't see how you said what you said with me saying "So it doesn't matter what the president does, in some people's eyes he is never doing it for the correct reasons." Very puzzling. But maybe it's just that you are so eager to throw anyone and everyone who says they slightest thing against your agenda that you just think "they are a 100% Obama fan" that you go all in.

 

It's people like you who all of a sudden attack people, grouping them with others, who don't see eye to eye with you. Your post was quite entertaining.

 

But for those who simply can't pay attention, or who wants to simply create things out of mid-air. The president says we should go after ISIS, but the thread title is misleading, it says he said "no troops". As far as me, I have said all along that we need to go after them, it doesn't matter how this happened, how they got there, or what caused it, the need to be dealt with and the country needs to stop bickering and get behind this mission. But many won't do that, they will continue to be divided.

 

Americans are over there now, American boots are on the ground. Several people I know are over there now with such companies like Academi, who BTW are in talks with several of the other large contractors to merge as non of them have enough people for what the government needs. But they need more help, a lot more help, and these Americans now on the ground and the companies that they work for have been screaming this for at least last summer! American lives will be lost, and it will continue to happen, money needs to be spent. Once we send U.S. military in, we will soon see that we still need more, it may take years, but didn't the Gulf War already take years? Our longest war ever?

 

The people I know over there now, they all don't care how this started, or who started it (even though they tell me what they think), they just want and need the help.

 

Again, you should look at my rants about this stuff. Maybe take a look at my "ISIS Hunting Club" T-shirt that I wear around? Maybe you wouldn't have lumped me into a that group? I got on so many people this week, especially on FB who simply do not understand, they think that if the U.S. sends in boots (not knowing Americans are already on the ground) that it will create even more terrorists (SEE to the left, I called them what I have always called them, lol). It doesn't matter what we do, they will come after us. Some, even on this board want to take the isolation stance like Rand Paul, (BTW he got crushed over that thinking last week by many conservatives), that won't help either, if we locked up our boarders and didn't deal with anyone outside our boarders, they will still come after us just for existing. We need to create a huge dent in them. But, sadly, and this has been coming for over 20 years, they are here to stay, but we can create a huge dent and set them back a great deal.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. I find my post highly accurate and very factual. I believe you are talking military personel and if we are going to be honest the military isn't here to fix our country. The military is here to protect the country. That's two different things. They follow orders and if the Commander in Chief gives bad orders they still have to follow them. That's not fixing anything.

 

Now, in a capitalist society it is impossible for any country to be "fixed" and that is why I say not one person who has issues with our country is willing to make the necessary sacrifices to "fix" our country. It's a dog eat dog world out here, homes. You either have money or you don't and if you don't have any green you are quickly forgotten about and dismissed in this country. And I'm okay with that. I'm not taking less money at work, I'm not giving up my cars or my house or the clothes in my closet to "fix" this country but those are the kind of sacrifices it would take to "fix" this country.
