FIFTEEN of those kids signed with WKU, so they took most of the in-state talent this year. Six more went to UK. And Jalen Washington from Frankfort is going to Louisville, just FYI. I'm glad to hear Jalen Washington is going to UL The question I asked was did UL go after any of the other kids or not. Are you telling me that none of the WKU singees are worthy of playing at UL? OR are you saying that none of the other kids are worthy to play at UL? Were any of the other 28 kids even approached with offers from UL? Did UL recruit any of them was the question I asked. IF you don't know you can simply say you don't know and I understand that. If anyone does know I would love the answer because I'm curious.
February 5, 201511 yr Again, I am not a recruiter nor do I follow kids across the state, it isn't my job. You ignored what I already said about this but I will answer your question again. There are kids in the state who are playing DI ball, so why didn't UL recruit any of them? I asked if they did and with the lack of an answer yes tells me they didn't. You want specific names, I will go and pull them from the HS recruiting thread. I can start with Beau Hoge. BYU thinks he is DI player, why didn't UL recruit him? Here are some others Elijah Sindelar Eli Brown Devon Quincy Aldwin Jackson Mason Wolfe Damien Harris Just to name a few. Again, if they recruited them but the kids chose to go elsewhere then that is great, the fact that they didn't even recruit them is the problem. Why didn't UL recruit them? I can't speak for certain as I'm not on staff, but maybe because 1.) They don't need people at those positions at this time, and 2.) Maybe UL recruited someone who they feel is better at that position? You said yourself you're not a recruiter, so how can you suggest that UL should have recruited someone that they didn't? I asked a simple question and you turned very defensive. All you had to say was you don't know if they targeted any in state kids or not. That is all I asked, if you didn't know the answer then that is fine. Saying they don't need players at those positions right now, I would love to see a list of the positions they signed yesterday. For some reason I would bet that they actually recruited players at the same positions as some.

February 5, 201511 yr Instate Talent - There was only 1 kid that UL maybe should have tried for and that was Harris. No one else. as for Juco players - Why not go after them? Are they not allowed to play? Of the Juco players UL signed 90% of them have 3 years remaining to play. So it is like signing 4 year guys. I think UK takes to many instate kids out of pressure from boosters and media. Football in the state has gotten a lot better but we are still way behind.
February 5, 201511 yr No offense to anyone, but I think this year's crop of seniors in Kentucky was considerably less than stellar. I make this comment as one who does not religiously follow recruiting. Following and evaluating recruiting has become a cottage industry unto itself.

The simple fact is that Kentucky doesn't produce that much D1 talent on a regular basis. When a D1 kid does come about, he will have offers from several schools, but that doesn't mean ANY of the state schools should be obligated to recruit them.

As far as the radio, why is a UL fan listening to UK radio? You don't think UL radio bashes UK? I don't listen to either but I would be willing to bet that any local sports radio show across the country bashes their rivals, that is nothing new.
