Trinity scored the first 19 points of the game.

Christian Thieneman led the Rocks with 15.

Assuming the KHSAA website is accurate, this is the lowest scoring game for Hoptown since March 2012

40-14 at half. The long ride probably affected H tonight. I thought T played well in every facet of the game, including hustle. No complaints at all from me as a T fan.

^^I was wondering the same thing. Dang, what a ride in general...let alone on a school night.

May not make a difference, but I'd like to see this one played at Hoptown on a week night.

Trinity is ridiculous.

Who wins the 2nd? Hendo a lock or Hoptown? Webster pose any kind of real threat or is their record a little inflated? I know they didn't fair well vs. Henderson the first go 'round.

I think Hopkinsville was affected by the ride, but in reality they just aren't as good this year as they were the past 3. Matlock is an excellent ball player, but teams are doubling him and nobody is stepping up for Hoptown except Jalen Johnson at times, but he is a freshman. I don't think Hoptown will beat Henderson, but it is possible. I do not however see them as a threat to win state. At least not at this point.

However a game changer maybe if the decide to play their 6'10" kid when he becomes eligible at the end of the month.

Trinity has owned Hoptown the last two times these two have met. Bad matchup for the Tigers.

The long bus ride means a lot. An average Graves team, probably 4th-5th in a weak Region 1, played Hopkinsville at Graves on a Tuesday night and lead most of the game but could finish the game at the end. Hoptown escaped that one but playing a good team shows that bus ride will affect you.

Hopkinsville seems to struggle against teams with quality big men. When your center is 6'5" and he is the tallest on the team, it can be difficult. I agree with Walter that Trinity is a bad matchup for Hoptown. They played Ballard and Henderson very close, and then get blown out by the Rocks. IF Hoptown, big if, makes it out of the 2nd, you know they are praying somebody else comes out of the 7th than Trinity.

Hendo wins the second, too many players who can score, ect. Region played at Union, a gym very familiar to the Colonels. Webster no factor at all, be luckly to beat Union in the district.
