Super Bowl Questions

Here are some questions from the game I would like to hear the answer to:

1. To Belichick ... with 6 seconds to go in the first half and Seattle out of timeouts, why was your DB playing off the line in the end zone when you knew they had to throw a quick pass?

2. To Seattle WR Baldwin ... what in the world was that you did when you scored the TD and are you embarrassed by it?

3. To New England Dr. .... why didn't you check Edelman for a concussion after he was hit following the reception in the middle?

4. To the New England safety ... on the circus catch by Kearse, why didn't you go after the ball and knock it down or try to intercept it as you ran past Kearse.

5. To Belichick ... why didn't you call time out after the run on 1st down by Lynch? Were you hoping to get Seattle to pass the ball?

To answer your questions fairly:

1. I didn't notice. The things that played out prior led to this situation.

2. I didn't notice. I'm guessing this was very poor judgement.

3. I'm not sure what the rule is regarding this situation.

4. IMO, safety running at full speed to make a play, now sees a receiver on the ground. What's he supposed to do? A kick at the ball and and miss may result in a kick to the helmet. Diving for the "loose" ball may result in a flag as well. NFL rules make this one a fly by if I'm him.

5. Question of the day for me, and a great question no one will ever ask. I couldn't believe New England didn't call time out after the first down run. Turned out to be brilliant I guess. Maybe Carroll expected NE would call time out after that run, and panicked. Which led to, the pick/play call.

Nope...turned out to be lucky, not brilliant IMO...

Kearse, why didn't you go towards the endzone when you got up after the catch? I think he scores if he does it quick enough

I have the same question every year, Why can't you play it on Saturday night?

3. Edelman was given a concussion test on the sideline in the 4th quarter, and passed.

5. That's exactly why IMO. He wanted to try and "speed" them up and make them do something they otherwise might not do. JMO.

I thought this once, but I really think you'll have more eyes on the TV on Sunday. People are busier on Saturdays with high school basketball, weddings, and other functions. Most people don't have as many things occurring on a Sunday evening.

I couldn't believe that he didn't call a timeout, but it worked.

He did. As soon as he got up and went toward the endzone he got knocked out of bounds.

My question: Why does Russell Wilson get a pass from criticism for his horrible pass? Why has he escaped criticism for the 2nd straight game after a very sub-par performance?

TOTALLY AGREE!!! I say this every year too. Then you could start the game at 8pm EST and the parties could go until 2am and nobody would care. Regarding TV audiences, people are going to watch if they play on Saturday too...
