One of my all-time favs. Old "motormouth" Ron Wright. You folks who are old schoolers and used to watch Wright wrestle out of Knoxville will fondly remember the"King of Kingsport." Wright, in later years, was a manager in Smokey Mountain Wrestling. He managed the Mongolian Stomper , the Dirty White Boys, and more. He was an absolute riot and a legend in East Tennessee.

Jumper_Dad, I read an interview that someone did with Wright awhile back and it was funny listening to all his stories from the road. He said that he has been shot at three times, a couple of those in Hazard, I believe. One of those times he had to hide under a car to escape the bullets. Also, he told a story about stopping at a restaurant in Corbin to eat. The TV was on at the restaurant and the taped wrestling show on which he wrestled was being viewed by some of the patrons there. The server at the restaurant refused to serve Ron and, in fact, took an entire chocolate pie and smashed it in his face. She then proceeded to take her apron off and storm out of the restaurant. No one raised the ire of fans like Wright could!

Harvey Wippleman...

Just once I wanted to see someone throw this shrimp through a wall.

Yes. Ron had just bought an airplane. He took it to Harlan one night for a match there. When the match was over he found his plane burned to the ground.

Jumper, here's a CLASSIC clip of wrestler "Motormouth" Ron Wright back in the day.

And one when Ron was managing the Stomper and the Moondog. You will recognize the man interviewing Wright- the great Gordon Solie!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH_9d_20GKg&feature=player_detailpage&x-yt-ts=1422579428&x-yt-cl=85114404#t=30

Heenan was great as a manager. As a commentator, I thought he was at his best when Flair won the Royal Rumble in '92 and he was doing the "that's not fair to Flair" schtick on commentary the whole time, but I still can't forgive him for ruining the biggest turn in pro wrestling history when Hogan (red & yellow, say your prayers, eat your vitamins) is coming to the ring at '96 Bash at the Beach and Heenan says, "but whose side is he on" before he turned of how it took away from the moment.
