It was nice seeing coach Fouts tonight from BCHS, I'm sure BCHS is in the mix of it. They play a good spread, have shooters, speed, and stamina. I've heard, if they just had a Bigs, they would be tough to beat. :) 9th Region will be exciting. And RCC, I don't put much value in comments from arm chair players. Wonder what the statistical data would show of all the BGPers, how many actually played in any sport at the next level? D1, D2, D3, NAIA? I played 2 Sports at D1, 5 National teams, Varsity in 4 sports, plus club Hockey. 6-7days a week, 2-3 hours a day in the gym and weight room, because there was always someone out there working harder. I see it in some that I coach, but for the most part, most don't get it. I hear kids every day at the schools, "I'm going pro"!?! Really, you're the 1% of the 10% of kids that ever go beyond HS? Wow, you must really work hard or just a gifted natural freak. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard, but if talent works hard, then you have a special player. These players that want to talk on BGP, think they know it all, make me laugh. Like the kid I sit in a meeting with, telling me they are going to play pro, when they have strait Fs, don't play varsity at all, say they are strong so they think they are pro material? My Ex squated 400 pounds, deadlifted 440' ran a 5.4 forty, had a national HS record before leaving HS. I've got 2 girls at home that both squat over 325. These jokers couln't even do this, and they are going pro? Have anyone actually sit and watch the girls who play D1 BBall? The size, strength, speed. They want to talk garbage about a Bball game, lmao, because if they knew how tough a margin of 2 points is, they would know it takes a lot to keep a game that close when either team is ahead by 10 or more. Look at the data, percentage, stats. If everyone was perfect, then the game would be boring and no one would have anything to say. Go Birds, Go, Dawgs, Go Indians, Go Raiders, Go Rebels! "Play the game, because player haters gonna hate" :)

So when your engaged setting a pick with your arms out not down to your side your aloud to move your feet? That's a new one to me!

Yea I'm with tnt didn't see any illegal screens from either team! "arms out not down to your side"??? I believe the young ladys should be able to put arms up folded across their chest to protect their girly parts...

Nice choice of words!

What game was you watching? You must not know how to set a pick and the way your explaining it is totally wrong. But i did see pushing off on both teams that was only called on Holmes. I do agree the refs were really horrible

How do you set a legal pick?

I didn't know there was 2 different rules one for girls and one for boys? :idunno:

Sounds like you should be adddressing Tellitlikeitis instead of the Lady Dogs and what they did or didn't last year. Most of the Lady Dog fans on here give credit to both HHS and HC. And generally are supporters of the girls that they know from both HHS and HC so please dont let ones comment bait you into thinking that we as Bulldog fans dont know and respect HHS. Cause I for one give credit where it is due, these young ladies deserve far better from all fans from all the teams. True followers of the girl programs know that none of the teams want to face each other come tourney time but one will have that draw and that is all that matters. You are absolutely right that Holmes did not make it out of the Distrcits last year but if my memory is correct none of them brought the State Championship trophy back either. I wish all of them the best of luck this year and no matter which one wins the Region I'll be cheering them on down state. Go Lady Dogs:clap:!!

Totally agree, love the dawgs heart and grit. But no one ever baits me. I like to comment on the ignorance of those who think they know what it's like to be in the game, whether it's a player, fan, adult making a comment, they need to check themselves before doing so, look in the mirror and ask if they ever played at that level, because if they did, they know deep down, what it's like to win or lose, so they learn humility, and those who do, know not to talk garbage.

Their elbows were out not folded against their chest.

No rule that says you can't have your arms against your chest. They have to say within the torso/shoulders.

However, you can't extend the arms.

I know if I set a screen I'm protecting my boy parts so I think it's ok for the ladies to protect their girly ones too!! And aside from that I just didn't see illegal screens tonight! sorry

I just watched the video of her drive to the basket. You can't SEE her hit the ground, but OMG you can HEAR it!

Gave me chills...

Hope she recovers quickly!

We texted her right after the game, she said she was doing good and thanked us for the prayers. I'm sure she will be sore the next couple of days.

And I think I know who Jayhawk95 is......

Meathead Rob Lowe!! Am I right?? huh

Have to say I was very surprised, but very happy to see Holmes lost her for about 3 possessions in a row. She can light it up for sure.

That's when I thought the game was over, she hit like 4 threes in a row. She can shoot lights out. But the lady dogs never gave up and I think that is what I like the best about them. Most teams would of probably gave up being down 12+ but the girls let fighting. I found it very interesting how the Bulldogs reacted when some of their starters got in foul trouble and with Tubbs sitting on the bench.

Only teasing I'm not trying to go Stallone "Over the Top" with anyone on here!!

I played 2 Sports at D1,

Wowza. Where did you play and what sports?

Agreed! Extremely impressed with the comeback. They did not give up. It was kinda fun to watch even from our side.

Honestly, this past week just proves what everyone in these programs knew...there are 3 really good teams in the 9th. Everyone outside of the 9th can talk all they want...I'm extremely impressed with all 3 teams. Just about any other year in the 9th, each one of these teams walk away with the 9th region title. This year...it will be a dog fight (no pun intended).
