A short highlight film from Reese's final high school season.

Senior Highlights - Reese Ryan highlights

Reese was 231-335-7 completing 69% of his passes for 3,173 yards and 37 Touchdowns as a senior. He also ran for 6 more scores.

For his career Reese had over 8,000 passing yards and 89 passing touchdowns and set a few different Lexington Catholic passing records including career completions and completion percentage for a season.

Reese has offers from Illinois, Akron, EKU, and he is also still receiving interest from Western Kentucky (I expect him to be offered very soon by them) and UK among others.

Reese was named the Fox 56 High School Sports Extra Player of the year. Other finalists were Jalen Washington from Frankfort, Joquise Buford from Henry Clay, Andre Davis from Bryan Station, and Damien Harris from Madison Southern (Last Years Winner). Its a Central KY based award.

With his great resume, still no commit? Waiting on national signing day?

Committed to Western Kentucky University over offers from Illinois, Akron, and Eastern Kentucky.

Congratulations to Reese!

Western really stays at home I really like their philosophy

Awesome! So far they have Cody Mitchell to D-1 FCS to Davidson, Ryan to WKU and with Cam Bailey, Chase Boling, Dom Castlen and Braxton Couch still left to sign. So my prediction on Lex Catholic having at least 6 D-1 ( FBS/ FCS ) players on their roster is starting to be believable huh " IAM4THECATS ". Still have Jalen Jones, Don Morris, JJ Ogbugo among others for next season.

Congrats to Mr. Ryan and a fine football player. Really enjoyed watching you play the last few years.....

It's always fun seeing all of that hard work pay off for these young men. Congrats to Reese Ryan because I've seen the work he puts in to be the kind of player he is now. I will definitely be at a few Western home games to watch the next chapter in his career.

Lexington Catholic QB Reese Ryan commits to WKU | High School Sports | Kentucky.com

"When WKU offensive coordinator Tyson Helton called Ryan on Monday evening to get his answer, Ryan told him, yes, he wanted to join the Hilltoppers. WKU Coach Jeff Brohm then got on the phone to welcome his newest commit.

...

After taking over as Lexington Catholic's starter midway through his sophomore season, Ryan led the Knights to three consecutive 4A semifinals. He passed for 8,873 yards and 89 TDs in his career. He also ran for 745 yards and three TDs."

I am very happy and excited for Reese. It seems like a great fit with a great coaching staff.

Those who have seen Ryan both on the football field and basketball court know that he is not only very talented but also has an intense competitive spirit. Brohm is getting a good one here.

Congratulations Reese!

Congratulations, Reese! Good luck with your football career and, more importantly, your education. I know your mom and dad are proud, always remember all they’ve done for your future.

Good luck at WKU.

Very Nice!

Reese will join WKU in January 2016 as a gray shirt.
