I think it's probably First Aid Kit.

I can't remember which Scandinavian country they're from in Europe...but that would explain the å and funky spelling if the word "guard".

Their latest album was called "Stay Gold", which explains "remain gilded".

Also, it looks like their tour has them in Europe through June, but then there is an open month between their last European date and their next date, which is July 24th in Virginia. A show in Louisville, KY 5 or 6 days before that would make perfect sense.

I was tweeting back and forth with the guys from Festivalsnobs.com, and they say it's The Word. I tend to agree after reading back over the hint.

"A group of many from all different walks"...they're a supergroup made up of "many" different genres of bands - funk and soul artist Robert Randolph, jazz artist John Medeski of Medeski Martin & Wood, and the Dickinson brothers from the blues-rock band The North Mississippi Allstars.

"bringing along their brothers, keys and pedals" ...the Dickinsons are brothers, Medeski plays keyboard, and Randolph plays the pedal steel.

Forecastle posted this to their Facebook page on Sunday evening...a pretty obvious statement that electronic DJ/producer RL Grime will be playing the festival:

ALERT: you are now entering THE VOID. Lineup anticipation anxiety is real, and we are here to help. All will be revealed on Tuesday, January 27. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

They said this is their last hint before the lineup drops tomorrow:

I'm not 100% sure at this point based on all the hints, but the "world without end" bit of the hint leads me to believe it's either AA Bondy or The Boxer Rebellion, who both have songs by that title.

Neither band currently has any tour dates listed on their website, but The Boxer Rebellion does have an album coming out in March, so a follow-up tour for the spring and summer would seem to make sense.

Certainly would seem that the mayor is slyly implying (that was a tongue-twister) that My Morning Jacket will be playing this year.

What a great damn tune!

It would appear that Forecastle just let it drop that Modest Mouse will be at the festival. Forecastle just tweeted that "No one can resist a #Waterfront view…", along with the cover photo from Modest Mouse's single "Lampshades On Fire".

What do we think of Forecastle? Sam Smith being listed first messes with my mind.

I like the lineup a lot, though, I think.

I'm with you. I winced when I saw Sam Smith listed first...but then I started to smile a bit. As much as I don't want to buy a weekend pass with Smith as a headliner, the money saved buying a weekend pass on Friday will be worth it, to me.

Nobody jumps of the page as a must see, to me. Then again, I've never heard of half of those bands.

Me neither. At least I have an excuse though; I'm older. :depressed:

Same here. Sam Smith leaves me shaking my head. Solid lineup, but the headliner is a total outlier.

Pretty bummed I missed St. Paul and the Broken Bones when the rolled through here last year. Would really like to see them.

Also a fan of The Tallest Man on Earth.

I'm not much for festival shows, but if those two play the same day, I'll probably try to go.

I'm a HA-YUGE fan of Tallest Man On Earth. Dude reminds me of earlier Dylan in so many ways...
