January 15, 201511 yr This has been the strangest off season in Atlanta in 20 years. Definitely tough for a fan...Not used to seeing this kind of offseason.
January 15, 201511 yr Nori Akoi is receiving quite a bit of interest from the Braves for LF. I like this trade a lot for the Braves. Young prospects, but they are quite good prospects. I hate the idea of this fire sale type offseason, especially after signing Freeman and Simmons to longer deals but the Braves may surprise and compete. That's not going to happen--at least this season. They've made some sound moves for the future but it won't help this season.

Plenty of teams far worse than the Braves have competed during seasons, not sure why it'd be such a surprise to see them "compete" this season. Never said they'd win or even make the playoffs but I don't just see them faltering all season either.
