Somebody please tell me that this is a district seeding game.

Why do you care? Riverside has a team and the kids want to play. Most teams play their bench only against them. The Riverside kids play hard and deserve the opportunity to play.

No knock at all on Riverside. I respect any and all that lace 'em up.

Just wondering why an Estill County plays a team that averages 22 PPG. Twice. I am assuming for district seeding purposes but don't know for sure.

Estill is in the 56th district. Riverside Christian is in the 55th.

Thanks for the clarification. I just knew that they were both in the 14th Region.

Riverside scheduled Estill. Estill didn't call them or email them. Estill took their entire team but played the younger kids more than the seniors and juniors. I'm sure the same thing will happen when Riverside comes to Estill County.

Now, I do not know if Riverside will be on it next season where it's a home and home this season.

Estill Co. shouldn't be playing Riverside regardless of any of the circumstances

They shouldn't be playing them twice in the same season for sure. And I feel for Coach Turner at Riverside and the position he is in, I really do. I have met and spoken with him, really nice guy. This is the PERFECT example where the KHSAA should grant waivers to a school to be able to play non-KHSAA teams, such as some of the small Christian teams in the KCAA or KCSAA. That or maybe, just maybe Riverside should think about giving up KHSAA membership and join one of those Christian leagues. Would be a win win for everyone IMHO.

Then who should play Riverside Christian?

I don't know if there are 3 teams within an hour and a half of them that would be less than a 20-30 point game. Why shouldn't Estill Co give them a chance to play a game if that's what they want?
