If Jameis goes Pro, how does his talent and skill set project at the next level?

 

Is Jameis as highly regarded coming out of college (if he leaves) as RGIII was?

RGIII was a "Can't Miss" talent as thought by many (Cats Cats Cats), is Jameis a "Can't Miss" as well?

I think he has the physical tools to be successful. Strong arm and great size. Lost one game in college. Led multiple come from behind victories. I hope he is drafted by Tampa Bay and has an above average career.

I think Jameis will be much more successful in the NFL than the likes of RGIII.

The NEXT Geno Smith, no thanks, the kid's a total punk too it appears.

Looks like another Vince Young... If he's smart he will learn from Vince's mistakes.

How is he comparable to those two players? I see different skill sets amongst all three when I compare those three.

I'd probably compare Winston to Leftwich or Roethlisberger before I compared him to VY or Geno.

Did Jameis read defenses or was everything called in from the sideline?

 

Big knock on RGIII was that Baylor coaches did it all for him, that didn't come out until after he left Baylor.

Talent wise, his skill set translates to the NFL very well.

 

NFL size, pocket passer, canon arm, and mobile enough to run when he has to. Plays in a pro set as opposed to one of the gymicky offenses.

 

His wonderlic score is going to mean a lot.

 

If it's me and I'm taking a QB, I'll take him over Mariota. I think Mariota is a system QB, much like Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Sanchez, etc.

Just reminds me of VY... Big kid that can move and has a big arm, but has questionable maturity level.
