IMHO, while the Birds will give it all they got, don't think it's going to be enough. However, the "secret weapon" has got some range.

Predictions:

 

1) It will be 20 degrees outside, but about 100 degrees in the gym

 

2) HHS dance team will do an amazing pom routine at halftime.

 

3) HHS Ozone will break out the " Let's play football " chant as soon as the Colonels open up by double digit points.

 

4) HHS coaching staff will be miffed by Colonels continuing to press in the 4th quarter.

 

5) CCH will win the game, Birds will continue to improve and move forward

Predictions:

 

1) It will be about 100 degrees in the gym

I think the Birds will keep it close for about a half. I am going to assume they will zone the Colonels to cut off CVH's penetration and avoid the mismatch that Bo Schuh brings.

How is the Birds frosh team? I understand that tonight is a triple header.

My gut tells me that the only thing that will help the Birds keep the final score respectable in their loss is to take the air out of the ball.

 

If they try to run and match the Colonels, it'll be a long night for them in Ft. Thomas, and things will get ugly quick.

 

They're gonna have to be patient, control the tempo, not force shots, and try to make every shot count.

 

On "D" they'll have a huge challenge of staying out of foul trouble, and most definitely their bread and butter shooter will have to as well, allowing him to remain on the floor.

 

If they manage, it'll be a low scoring affair, but all said and done with the Colonels having just too many threats, will still walk away with a 17 point victory with a final score of something like 53-36.

This is a guarantee, write it down!

Without looking it up, I think the last time Covcath lost to Highlands was maybe in the 08-09 season at BOKC when Holmes beat Scott Co in the following game?

CCH is 4-0 against Highlands under Ruthsatz. Dating back to the 2001-2002 season, the series is much closer. CCH is 12-7 against Highlands dating back to the 2001-2002 season.

 

4 of Highlands' 7 wins in the series were consecutive victories at the end of Mike Listerman's career at CCH: 1 point victory in January 2008, two victories in the 2008-2009 season, and a 16 point victory in January 2010 -- Mike's last year at CCH.
