After getting to finally watch several of the top teams I would have Holmes and holy cross 1a and 1b. The difference between the two will be if holy cross can the preasure. Right now I'm not so sure they can

When did you see Highlands? If you saw them today, understand where you're coming from. Outside of that, not sure why you'd put SK in front of them and feel they can't compete with HC or Holmes. They have a horrible day today and played as bad as they can play.

I admittedly haven't seen any girls hoops, but I'm a little surprised Holmes is still at #3 considering how impressive they have been so far.

 

From everything I've heard from those who are more connected, Holmes is every bit as good as Holy Cross, if not better, because of their depth.

 

Guess I need to get out and find out for myself.

With only 5 out about 30 programs voting this is not enough a sample size to take seriously. Next week, when everyone is back from out of town tournaments, there should be more coaches voting, then we will have something to talk about!

Generally, Girls Basketball is more "Gentlemanly" than football. Smack talk is generally not done in this sport and competitors tend to be a bit more friendly. This is especially true since high school competitors are often AAU team mates.

You're probably right. But I guess we'll still come out there and see in February. You know me, I prefer to play the best, so maybe SK can make us better. Going into tournament time.

And your point? Of course we are. Haven't played SK yet! And we do have some "decent" teams coming up soon. So I'm sure that will change.

And to be fair probably a very smart move from coach to do so as they have a lot of young talent and a "new player" to the pioneer scene. Gives them time to gel. But for pioneer fans to be boasting an undefeated record just looks silly as other teams are out playing challenging games and maybe not getting all Ws but gaining experience. Keep tooting your horn guys. It'll all come out in the end who's best.

And you know...someone must think we are a decent team. Coaches in NKY feel we are top two and the state feels top 15. So we are pretty lucky I guess.

I think any of the top 4 NKY teams could win against the other on a given night. Where did you see poles that have girls rankings. I couldn't find any tonight when looking around so I would appreciate your help.
