December 29, 201411 yr Author Now that is a copout! One has to work extremely hard to catch his balls and the other has a QB that can lay it right in there. See the difference? Again, not that simple. Dalton gets his fair share of criticism. Too often he and AJ are not on the same page and , as we saw tonight, it's sometimes on AJ. AJ directly contributed to two critical TOs tonight that cost the Bengals points. Not the first time. Great, great player but his lack of consistency keeps him from "elite."
December 29, 201411 yr Brown doesn't work hard to catch his balls? Okay. More silliness in this thread. I really shouldn't have even posted. The question is being changed and now words are being put in my mouth. Enough! Brown is awesome but so is Green. I'm out!

On the play where AJ stopped, does Dalton share any responsibility for reading the DB? It was obvious the DB knew the route - he ran it better than AJ. Dalton did nothing to read the DB and mindlessly threw the ball where the play said to throw it.

December 29, 201411 yr Copout answer IMO. It's not that simple. Sure it is that simple. If the Bengals had Rodgers as their QB AJ would be the #1 Wr in the league most probably. The problem is instead AJ has a QB who makes too many bad decisions and forces the ball too much into bad coverage etc. and isn't very accurate downfield. If it was AJ or Brown with Rogers as the QB, AJ hands down.

I'd say Dez Bryant goes up and gets the ball that hit Green's hands and was picked. Very, very good vs elite.

December 29, 201411 yr Someone posted they read Green's lips when he said "my bad" to Dalton. What do you expect him to say? Throw a better pass next time idiot? He was wide open, that's a throw you can't miss as a good NFL QB.

I read it the same way you did and that AJ cut the route short like he was supposed to do with the Cb p,aging off him and the safety coming over the top. Even if AJ continues downfield the ball was still thrown right to the CB and the best we could hope for was AJ knocking it out of his hands. Even after the p,ay when they showed AJ and Andy on the sidelines, Andy said "My bad" you could read his lips.
December 29, 201411 yr Author What do you expect him to say? Throw a better pass next time idiot? He is isn't going to say "my bad" if it was on Andy. He has certainly shown his displeasure with Andy this season.

He's a big time pro athlete he probably thinks he can make every play. It was a bad throw bottom line. You have plenty of other plays to point to that can make your point. That's not one IMO.
