You say it's a police organization. I only read that one retired detective put the party on and it sounds like this was a private party, not an LAPD party.

 

So how do you know representatives of a police organization were singing? How do you know who was there?

NWA (which I like) made songs about killing cops and stated that was their reality in many interviews. Ice T (think he is a good actor) made a song "Cop Killer". Again, he said he was speaking of his life on the streets as a former pimp.

 

So yeah, they are similar.

NOBODY is saying this is racist. EVERYBODY is saying it is poor taste and shameful it is cops singing the song because cops are supposed to protect and serve. If songs like this are going to be sung by cops and it be acceptable well then you shouldn't wonder why the people of Ferguson don't believe your "facts" of the Michael Brown case.

Funny you mention all those songs that the government tried to censor. Should the government try to censor this cop song or is it okay now because cops sang it?

If police were mot there and the song is mot illegal why would the LAPD be investigating?

I read there was one retired detective. I'm assuming if there were any active police there they were off duty.

 

Are they responsible for what someone else sings? Seems I've heard here over and over that the good protesters aren't responsible for the bad and shouldn't be lumped in with them for being at the same place.

You can't say it's OK for one group to have a song about killing cops and then blast a retired cop for having a song about a cop killing someone. Both are in bad taste. To ignore one over the other is simply making excuses to fit your side of the debate.
