Rod Avery only played 7 mins...he is a difference maker. Would like to see this game with him playing his usual 25+ mins. He didnt have any fouls...just a coach decision.

I'm sure coach L would like to have him play more minutes as well.

Holmes Misses the likes of Chames from last year. They need that work horse on the boards. Also the 3 point consistency is just not there. I agree they can beat anyone on a given night though.

Any insights on why he only played 7 minutes?

When he was in, he had dunk (as stated earlier), but also missed quite a few layups. Some were being too flashy and others just easy layups.

Did Coach L throw his clipboard? I think I read that in the update thread.

Yes he did. It was on an intentional foul by McLendon I think. Ballard had a player do the same thing to Bolden earlier in the game and they just called a regular foul. I thought it was pretty funny but I thought it should have been an intentional foul both times though. When you grab somebody's arms on a fast break in the air for a layup, it should be an intentional foul.

The foul on Bolden, the Ballard kid did not even go after the ball, wrapped arms all the way around Bolden. The intentional foul on McClendon was ridiculous...McClendon fouled the Ballard kid hard, as coached, and actually had 2 hands on the ball so the kid could not even get the ball to the rim.

I watched games Saturday and Sunday in this tournament, all NKY Games closely. NKY teams do not have a chance of winning this tournament, ever. The officiating is blatant and predictable when there is a lead when playing a Louisville team...the refs take the game out of the players hands. Regardless of what anyone states on BGP, both NKY Teams were taken out of their 1st games in the 2nd half due to officiating, I have never seen anything like it! This tournament means nothing when it comes to the bigger picture, District & Regional Tournaments, but it is discouraging to see ADULT REFS control the outcome of the games.

Actually, I think it was an assistant who threw the clipboard. Or perhaps it slipped out of his hand.

I was wondering that also,,don't believe anyone wants to touch on it, makes one wonder..

I will say it was fun listening to people talk about Bolden's ball handling. I enjoyed watching when 3 guys were guarding him and he would get out if it.

The only thing was the bad passes that came from some of his over handling of the ball.
