Not at all..Ashland is the only team in the state to win a national championship, I believe. That was a long, long time ago, but still history. Now they make history by playing 6 games and not getting a single win. Not good for the program, nor Buddy Bigs, imo.

Yep, and they even won a game vs. a very mediocre Hazard team in 01 before getting beat by North Hardin in the quarters. And in 96 they were very relevant. Runners up. So, not much on the regional landscape for over a decade, and no state relevance for almost 2 decades. Think of it this way, the kids playing at Ashland were in pull-ups the last time Ashland won a region.

Totally agree. The games that had to be moved to Boyd County just to accomodate the crowd. The OJ Mayo madness was fantastic.
