Good news for those who picked Boone in the NKY contest.

People start to write Boone off (myself included) and then they go out and pick up a solid win.

 

Heard Stockwell dominated tonight...EnnamIV tried telling me he was a big difference maker. Good call.

I was at the game and Stockwell did whatever he wanted. Conner had no answer for him, but Boone had a time trying to hold Scott. It looked to me that Scott was a little tired in the second half as he played every minute of the first half. Conner did not shoot very well and at times looked lost on defense.

 

The student section for Boone was very entertaining tonight. It was a fun game to watch...

A few thoughts:

 

Conner got KILLED in their press D. Boone had a lot of easy buckets.

Conner got KILLED trying to continually pass OVER jumping defenders. I counted 4 steals by Boone to start the 2nd half where Boone just jumped up to catch the pass. No bounce pass. No fakes. Nothing. 4 straight steals.

 

Junior KILLED Conner inside and opened up the offense for others. I underestimated his influence on their offense.

 

Conner seemed to be out of sync offensively. I'm not talking about just missing shots (way too may of those) but often seemed to not have 5 players on the same page.

 

Really rough night for Spencer Hemmerich who is a really talented player. Give some of that credit to Boone but something was off with his game.

 

Congrats to Boone. Their team tonight looked like varsity players vs their team Monday night that looked like JV players. Credit Coach M.

I knew a healthy Stockwell would be a game changer for Boone. Saw him play quite a bit this summer. He's an unselfish hustler who makes his teammates better.

Like Clyde said, Junior opens up the offense and gets others shots.

Glad to see Junior back on the court. Great game for a great kid. Good job Rebels!!!!

Anyone know the medical diagnosis for the soph #44 for Conner? Went down in the JV game. Heard it may involve some ligament damage.
