December 6, 201411 yr Probably his best game ever and it was vs guys with NBA length. Shhhhh! I want him here for one more year.
December 6, 201411 yr Play like absolute crap offensively, can't hit a shot to save your life, can't rebound, yet you beat a top 10 team by 12? Yeah, they're kinda good.
December 6, 201411 yr You forgot "again." They won't have to be great offensively to win but it would be nice to see a little more consistency.
December 6, 201411 yr They won't have to be great offensively to win but it would be nice to see a little more consistency. It'll come around. That is the facet of the game the team has to lean this year. Much easier than having to learn every facet of the game though.
December 6, 201411 yr When the Cats can't hit 3's games will stay close. ...if a team matches up well with them.
December 6, 201411 yr When the Cats can't hit 3's games will stay close. ...if a team matches up well with them. So what you guys are saying is it will take a pretty big effort from a really good team. Texas matched up with them well, defended well, and out rebound UK. UK's 4 best shooters were 4-27 (1-12 from 3) and they still pulled out a double digit victory.
December 6, 201411 yr Jeff Eisenberg @JeffEisenberg Impressive stat: UK is yielding .66 points per possession this season. No team this century has finished a season yielding less than .83.

Wisconsin matches up well too, they are not as athletic as Texas, but they do shoot the three better than Texas. Outside of those two teams, everyone else is undersized as far as matchups go That said, it will take a large team, hitting their threes, while uk has a bad offensive game to beat them.. The unsettling thing for other teams imo, is that Cal is just now starting to teach this UK team offense. That's scary.

December 6, 201411 yr Are you sure that's accurate? Well I saw it on twitter so it's gotta be true. Just googled it. Looks legit. http://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/stat/defensive-efficiency
December 6, 201411 yr Well I saw it on twitter so it's gotta be true. It may be, no team yielding less than .83 is what catches my attention though.
December 6, 201411 yr Texas challenged UK at the rim all night...Kentucky has to be tough enough to fight through that contact to score or draw the foul...they did neither very well tonight.
December 6, 201411 yr This was a good test for the Cats. Texas is ranked high for a reason. I am glad to see them butt heads with another very physical, tough defensive team. I honestly would not be surprised at all to see Texas in the final 4. As for the Cats, another big time defensive effort, this game was won on Defense. WCS again was a complete leader, he wasn't hitting shots all tat well and missed some lay ins. WCS continued to play hard, was extremely impressive on Defense and on the boards. 12-14 pts. I believe, 7-9 from the line, 12 reb, 5 steals and 3 assist. That's what a leader does. He (WCS) is my favorite o this tam if I had to name one, just with the way he works his tail off, does the dirty work that it takes to win. I know of around 10-12 of Wildcats along with the Texas team that should be absolutely beat, will sleep pretty good tonight. I still don't believe that U.K. goes unbeaten but I have to say that this bunch is going to be fun to watch. They aren't doing to lose many.
