Central is winning the field position battle but killing themselves with penalties. Belfry's defense is really looking good and the offense is more than holding their own. Central is so opportunistic though and they take advantage of the only Belfry miscue of the day so far.

The secondary things have been penalties and punting.

 

Central hasn't shown an ability to move the ball as it is, but for the Quarter they didn't even give themselves a chance to try. Belfry only with a couple penalties..but one of them was a killer stopping a drive into the redzone and all the momentum.

 

Central's best offense and defense thusfar has been Special Teams. Nice returns and the punt game has been exceptional. Belfry's inability (or unwillingness) to field punts has cost them probably 60 yards in field position.

Central is pretty undisciplined for a team playing in a title game.

 

The one I time I saw them play, they were very disciplined. They had 5 penalties for 35 yards and I saw nothing dirty from them the entire game.

Has Central gone to their short passing game or trying to hit the home run? Those passing numbers don't reflect what I saw from their QB, who was as accurate as anyone that I have seen. Belfry getting pressure on him must be making a huge difference in his comfort level.

Another huge break for Central as Belfry lets them hang in prime position.
