I like Tierney as well, but we may as well leave him off these lists. He's not invited to the tryouts, and it's tough to make the team if you can't try out. I'm not sure if Mains was invited, Vories will get his chance.

As I posted, this is just my team, if I had to choose. This is not anything like what the team will look like. This is group of young men that have impressed me over the years.

Anyways, Tim probably won't play on the all star team, he'll be too busy trying lead his colonels to another regional title in baseball.:D

Dan Penick has to be on the team in order for Ky. to stand any chance at all vs. Indiana. Kentucky has no size. Penick a legitimate 6'9" can do more things than be a tree. He is a D-I player who can play inside or out and is physical and mobile enough to cause problems for Indiana....He has to be a lock, IMO.

Here is my team, it has alot to do with the players I've seen play over the past years and not as much to do with players that will have a good shot against Indiana boys. KY hardly ever wins anyways so we might as well go with the kids that have worked hard and deserve it.

Mains and Vories would be a great guard combo. I do believe they have played quit abit together in AAU. Two very quick guards that can score and dish the rock.

There is always someone under the radar who has a good tryout. We'll call these players the darkhorse picks. Who could be a darkhorse this year?

Who are the coaches for this? I know a couple of years ago GRC had Bo Harris that made the team. Not many people across the state knew of him. Kelly Wells was the coach that year and had seem him play several times. He also had a good try out. He was a real dark horse for many.

Who are the coaches involved in the selection of these players at the try out this year?

You have got to be kidding me.....No A.J. Slaughter?? No Joshua Mack?? No Antonio Owens?? No Dante Stallworth??

You have definetly been watching different teams and players then I have, or you are partial to certain teams.

Are these just seniors? How bout the kid from Fern Creek? I'm not sure what grade he's in but I'd take him as my point guard.

The players have not even been chosen yet. The head coaches from each school have a chance to nominate (10) players. The player of the year from each region gets an automatic bid (16) The sports press from around the state pick another (16) from the list of nominees. After that the Head coach of the All Stars with the Asst coach, Game director and Game chairman pick another (8) to bring the try out field to (40). Boys Head Coach this year is Tim Riley from Warren Central with his Asst coach being Jeff Morrow from Jeffersontown. Invites go out after the boys sweet 16.

I haven't seen stallworth so i have no say on him. But this team I made up is my team. As I stated it has alot to do with the players I've seen play over the past years and not as much to do with players that will have a good shot against Indiana boys. None of these players are selfish and ball hogs. None of these players average 20ppg. None of these players don't get back on defense. None of these players are affraid to get on the floor and fight for a ball. None of these players have bad attitudes. To me thats what the team is all about I came up with. My guess would be that my team would beat your team of top 15 scorers in the state anyday of the week.

I have seen all the players that he stated at least twice except I've never seeen stallworth. The other players on the list I have seen more than twice and I really enjoy what I see. Why does it matter? I stated this was my picks fro MY team.

Then you boasted how your team beats anyone else's

Your team doesn't beat one with Slaughter, Owens, Mack, Stallworth, and Buckner.

My guess would be that my team would beat your team of top 15 scorers in the state anyday of the week.

   Anyday of the week except Sunday thru Saturday.....
