My apologies. I forgot that no one is allowed to question or ask a question about T on here unless it is glowing praise. Don't flatter yourselves. My simple question was about who played, and I thought a legitimate one since the same young man had scored in the second quarter, and this was a running clock. Maybe I was recalling a few years ago in a state game won by T by over 30 and a friend of mine's senior son didn't get in.

Next he will probably ask if we played any Juniors in the JV games. I love it too.

If it was just this one instance maybe, but you've taken thinly veiled shots at Trinity in the past. Are you really surprised that there are Trinity people that are bothered by that and may question your motivations.

 

We get it, you don't like Trinity and you don't like the way Trinity is coached.

T played the second (and even third) team most of the 4th quarter. Defensively they were shuttling 5 or 6 guys in and out every play. I am sure there were a few guys that may not have gotten to play on Friday, but there were a whole lot of guys on a whole lot of other teams that didn't get to play anywhere on Friday. Success breeds contempt. IMO holding others in contempt feels worse than being held in contempt courtesy of the bonds of jealousy. Feeling good about another BG trip! Go Rocks!

This loss had nothing to do with schedule. We beat the #2...#3...and the #7 teams in 6A in the playoffs. If you watch a replay of the game online or HUDL you will see why we struggled. But it's not schedule. Our schedule is not much different from most public school programs.

Meade played some normally good teams that were not up to par this year (Butler, North Hardin, even John Hardin). But the likes of Breck Co., Doss, Jeffersontown, Muhlenburg Co., and North Bullitt are DEFINITELY not same as what Trinity faced this year and indicates an inability to get consistently better teams to play us. Ask Trinity, X, St X Cincy, Elder, Moeller, LaSalle, and Highlands if Meade had the same type of schedule.

 

And the run Meade had was a great one, consecutively beating a few good teams that were ranked ahead of them -- which was a great feat!

I know MEANGREENMACHINE: This kinda answers the scheduling question for (Green Guy or anyone else). Yes they are adding some more difficult teams, but we are also dropping the best team we play. I will say it again; the schedule is made years in advance. No one could have foreseen John Hardin struggling like they did early in the year. North Hardin had a great offense, just struggled on defense. Jtown is moving to 6A next year (not to mention Male also played them this year). Muhlenberg is our district (KHSAA put them there not Meade) Meade had to play them. As a fan I don’t think we should play Breck or North Bullitt but EVERY school has these types of games.

 

When we had a tougher schedule years ago, people complained we didn’t win enough. I would love to see us play St. X, Manual or Trinity during the year maybe two in the super district. But scheduling out of district games is a two way street. The team you want to play must want to play you. This is not always easy when you have the success we’ve had the last few years (minus Friday night).

 

There were a lot of things that led to the loss Friday, but the schedule was not one of them. The kids played hard all year defying the odds in the first three rounds of the playoffs. We just ran into a team playing at a high level Friday.

Basically you may be right, but in all the years I have been on here, I doubt that you will find any posts where I essentially attacked anyone or their position on a matter even though I may not have agreed. There are simply times in recent years where I think posters go overboard in their posts because they can hide. There is a certain loss of civility which was present when BGP began. Friendly jabs don't bother me, it's the attacks when someone disagrees.
