I ran into a good friend this morning who's a former board member at Boyle and still a big supporter of the football program I asked him about Chris Pardue to Boyle county all though he wouldn't give me a definite answer he did say it was a good possibility, and I'm sure he knew more than he was telling me he did add that he was sure Pardue wasn't happy at Mercer.

That is his opinion and I am think he is wrong because if Pardue wasn't happy at Mercer County then why hasn't he already taken the OC job at Boyle County? I think at this point we all know it's his job if he wants it.

Well his opinion or not he knows Pardue well enough to know the situation, and if the man says Chris is not happy then I'm sure Chris has told him this. Sometimes people assume to know to much about a situation or what another person is thinking or what they actually know, and you know what they say usually happens when you start assuming.

The number one priority with the hire may be a good offensive line coach. There are people on staff that can make an improvement in the OC position. You only have a limited number of hire options in high school, because of the teaching positions and money available. If Chris Mason is to be missed, it would be as the offensive line coach, which he was very good at, not as OC.

Then go ask your buddy what the hold up is. As I stated yesterday everybody knows the ball is in Pardue's court. If he wasn't happy seems like he'd have made up his mind and Boyle County would have a new OC. I mean he's not going to stay at a place you say he is unhappy at when he'd have a better situation at Boyle County now would he?

You need to realize just because you think it or it's your opinion it doesn't allways make you right there are other people in The know about Boyle co football not just you. He said there would be an announcement after Christmas, and he didn't say for sure Pardue was coming but he does know Chris Pardue and Chuck Smith well so I'll take his word for what he says.

Oh I know. There are a whole lot of people in The Know about Boyle County football. That's always been clear since day one. Last I saw Pardue was not and is not a member of the Boyle County football staff. You know something I don't? :lol2: :lol2:

I don't see it happening. Mercer may have had a down year last season, but that was a large part due to injuries. The Titans previously posted the best two seasons since the state championship. It's not a coincidence those were Pardue's first two seasons. Anyone would be unhappy after a rough season, but I can't imagine him being unhappy with the whole situation.

Well BohonBrawler, I would love to have Pardue as the OC at Boyle. But I want believe it until it happens and if it was to happen I believe it would not take place until Christmas break. That is today but I don't see it happen. I have been wrong before just ask my wife.

I did not say Chris was coming back for sure, I simply made a comment about pardue not being happy at Mercer and PP immediately assumed my source was just giving an opinion and that he was wrong. In closing I'm not saying I know more than anyone but I do work for Boyle county schools and I know a lot of people involved with the program, as far as pardue goes I'm sure it's all just speculation at this point I guess we'll find out when an announcement is made.
