Rambo the OCath fan - not going to happen in that fashion. This should be a great game. It will take the best effort for OHS to get the W.

North Oldham runs an offense that OHS probably hasn't seen. They try to formation you and get numbers advantages. They now have their QB back and they wil run to set up the play action passing. Defensively they are sound, well coached and play extremely hard. It will be a tough game, OHS will have to earn it.

North Oldham will be without the FB and their best OL due to knee injury.

I might be an OCHS fan, but I hope OHS wins it all.

No one has come close to scoring 49 on them. They have a great RB and a great defense. CAL scored 24 and the other loss, they gave up 21. I don't see 49 points here based on what North Oldham has been able to accomplish.

I hope Owensboro doesn't turn it over, but they did vs. a GREAT Madisonville team loaded with athletes (4 times and set up scores) but still prevailed 29-28. Not saying that can happen again on Friday - I hope Owensboro is focused and ready to go. Owensboro features a great running game with a big Offensive Line and good speed at the skill positions. Madisonville was extremely fast also and big up front (WKU signee at C). Madisonville has a great defense also - OHS had over 300 yds rushing in the game - if it didn't turn it over they could have scored alot more.

I have been on the Owensboro band wagon all year. Yet they lost that game at Henderson and that caused me some concern. I still feel that they will take down N. Oldham and then take down Highlands. I think they have the size and team speed to do that.

Looks to me like similar offenses. Defenses will be well schooled in how to handle it. Should be a good game and maybe not as high scoring as some may think. Think the Mustangs pull it out and home in a squeaker.

With 2 run heavy teams, there's not alot of possessions to score - so I think the lower score may be as much a product of longer drives, rather than the shut down defenses.

If NO is a hybrid team then you can expect a metric ton of formations. Hybrid wing-t teams line up in a ton of crazy formations. It can be a real pain to make sure you line up right.

North's coach was saying that the field was in horrid shape ...muddy soggy...and how that would hinder Owensboro. He may be right, but why wouldn't the field have dried up by now. I would definitely feel better if the game was at Rash (turf).

 

Maybe OHS needs to practice out in a field or something this week.

They are.

 

They'll formation you to death, while running the their same base schemes. They aren't your typical multiple formations=tendency heavy ball club bc of this, obviously.

 

Rocket, Jet, Rocket, Jet, Rocket, Jet....stop it? Good. There is a reason, come back and hit you inside where it hurts lol.

I love the hybrid stuff. It drives DC nuts. If they play around with all the unbalanced looks it can be a tough thing to locate eligible receivers and all the different runs surfaces. Great stuff and real fun to watch.
