Trinity = Harlem Globetrotters (or perhaps Washington Generals with Szabo as Red Klotts).

As the Knott coach promised, this would be an "event". The home team came out smelling like a rose financially and they got a great scrimmage. No wonder they paid $5,000.00 to the Rocks. We, in the Trinity Community, appreciate the support. :thumb:

Raymond Spaulding,IMO, is handcuffed by Trinity's system. Check him out when he's not playing for Trinity and he's a totally different player.

No. I do not travel that far for a basketball scrimmage. Coach Szabo disclosed everything about this scrimmage with the exception of the payout. The payout came from another person within this thread. The crowd was estimated at 3000-3500 and the admission was quoted as $10.00. So, my arithmetic leads me to believe Knott cleared at least 25,000 not including concessions.

 

Coach Szabo does say the Trinity basketball team is always treated well by the host team when they play on the road in the Commonwealth. He does not hear any anti-private school or boycott talk outside Jefferson County.

I was impressed with Trinity. They played very well. I applaud their win. I appreciate them making the long round trip from Louisville. I hope the two teams continue to work together to provide another good basketball game in the future. Thanks to the Knott players, and I applaud the athletic department for bringing the game to Hindman.
