DanvilleFan Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Final. Danville had too many costly turnovers in the first half and then could not stop Prestonsburg's running attack in the second. Sad end to the season for the Ads, who won the district this year. They'll lose some big contributors to this years squad (Del Rosario, Bradshaw, Matthews, T. Johnson, and Woolridge) so next season should be very interesting. The six class system has just not been very kind to the Admirals either, as they've only won the region once since the 6 class format was enacted.
Agent33 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 They got dominated up front. Every good running back this year has killed Danville. Frasure was a man among boys, seems like Danville didnt wont to tackle the big back. I've said all year Danville just wasn't very good on Defense this year. They lose a lot of seniors this year, I wouldnt be surprised if they have a year like somerset did this year next year!
Harry Doyle Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Danville will be just fine. They return most everybody upfront, which will be more experienced and even better. Danville always has speed. Out with the old, in with the new as always in that category. As for P'burg. Don't sell them so short...they are a dang fine team. They have beaten 3 teams this year who are playing for a Region title next week (Hazard, Shelby Valley, Lawrence County), along with some pretty good others in their own right.
DanvilleFan Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 Agreed with Doyle. P-Burg is my pick to go to the state final after this game.
Harry Doyle Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Danville finished 8-4. ...all 4 teams in the Loss column for them are playing for region titles next week in their respected classes 1-4A. Matter of fact...I wouldn't be shocked to see all 4 playing in their semis.
Wireman Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I noticed a lot of red flags defensively for Danville this season and it sounds like they showed up again in this one. I watched them get destroyed by big backs several times this season. Still a good season for the Ads. I'd love to see prestonsburg make a run.

Danville returns 2 DT and 2 DE. They return 3 OL, QB, and a couple skill guys who werent keys this year but will be next year. I expect danviile to be fighting it out with Middlesboro for the 3 seed in the next couple years. Hope I am wrong
charlesw88 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Good season for the Admirals. Build on this and come back next season even stronger.
blkcatfan Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Statement win by my Blackcats. Dalton Frasure was a man child. Maybe this win will open some eyes of the non believers. Good season Danville. Good luck next year.
ATLCat Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Pburg has a good team. Their QB Jarrell has been starting since 2001 I think. Frasure is a hard nosed runner. This Pburg team actually reminds me more of some of the NewCath teams we have seen over the past decade than the 2014 NewCath team does. Tough QB who can sling it and can move the chains with his feet, hard nosed running back, gritty line, and a Defense that forces turnovers and makes plays when they are needed.
