I do have a 96 Ranger that doesn't have cruise on it. Been thinking since the day I bought it about having it put on. 18 years and counting. Might do it one of these days.:idunno:

And I don't care if you aren't using cruise, but if I'm sitting @ 5 over and you get right on my bumper, I'm not going any faster just because you're riding it.

November 12, 201411 yr I use my cruise control religiously. As soon as I can get it set and use it for an appreciable amount of time, I do it. OBVIOUSLY there are thousands of people, however, that don't, and can't maintain a constant speed without it. I was reminded this morning, just as I am most days...several times a day, of this fact. In the right hand lane on 127 south headed to work, cruise is set on about 61 mph. I easily start to catch up with a Dodge pickup in the right lane. I pull into the left hand lane to pass. No such luck...they speed up a few mph and pull ahead of me. I shrug and come back into the right hand lane. In just a short bit I am again right behind the truck. I again pull into left hand lane...they again speed up. This time I accelerate past them, merge back over, get off the gas and let the cruise settle back to where it was. I now easily stay in front of them, and as a matter of fact it appears they slow way down as I am now pulling away from them quite easily as they fall way behind. Anyone else notice this or have this happen to them often? And who uses their cruise control? I'm with you. I use it everytime I can on the interstate. Whenever I'm driving to the boys games on Saturdays as they are always a minimum of 3 hour drive, I set that puppy to around 78 MPH in a 70 MPH zone and just hope the cars in front of me don't fluctuate there speeds, nothing I hate more when I'm driving is following behind someone who doesn't stay at the same speed in the right lane until i have to pass someone. The ones who stay in the left lane and are going about 3 mph slower than everyone in the right lane get annoying too.
November 12, 201411 yr I see this almost every day. I drive 127, I64, Leestown Road to Lex and back from Frankfort every day. I am only on 127 for a short time, so I don't have much opportunity to get in BigVMan23's way. On 127 I lock in between 55 and 60 in the right-hand lane as much as possible. On I-64, I set at 74, unless I need to pass and get back in the right-hand lane, so I will speed up so I don't hold up faster traffic. HOWEVER, it drives me crazy on Leestown when I frequently get behind someone who drives 45, then 50, then 45, then 55, then 50. THEN when someone passes, they match their speed. It is very frustrating and very dangerous on this two lane road. I would like to put my disintegration beam on high in these cases.
