Yes.

Crowd funding is all the rage these days. If people are dumb enough to donate to unworthy causes people will keep doing it.

A guy I know did this a couple of years ago to buy a movie quality Santa Suit.

 

He has been Santa at various sites for years but always only had whatever raggedy suit they had available.

 

He raised $1200 I think in less than two weeks.

I have no issue with what people want to put on there. I think the market will dictate what causes are worthy and what causes aren't.

I was browsing and I saw one guy had "Beer and Video games." Literally. He ended up raising I think over $400.

I heard a guy named George was raising money for the "Human Fund." Its Money for People.
