From Drew Pasteures web site, Drew Pasteur, a math professor at the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio, and an alumnus (Ph.D. in applied mathematics, 2008) of N.C. State University. He does a great job calculating all of Ohio's high school projections each week. He predicts everything from wins/losses, Points, Playoff seeds. He does a great job if you ever want to look up anything.

Ironton thinks we are an inferior opponent. They came into last year's game 3-6 and thought they were better than us and were actually upset that we won and we were 7-2 at the time. The lore of Ironton football is warranted but that is borderline disrespectful to our program and what we are. Every good team should go into each game feeling they can win but there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

A lot of schools treat Raceland this way, but there has been a lot of upset people in Raceland's 500+ wins.

 

I remember a while back when I spoke to some guys from Ironton and they were telling me they were playing a "small" school from Kentucky next and how they didn't know why the game was even scheduled and it was obvious that Ironton would kill this little Kentucky school. Boy were they surprised when Beechwood beat them. The next week they were telling me how they didn't know what happened, I just laughed.

 

Some Ironton fans would probably be real upset if they knew the Raceland/Ironton 2013 game ball was forever memorialized in Raceland's trophy case as "Win 500".

So, by your view of "history", Ironton would expect to lose this year due to Raceland beating them last year?

 

Come on, both programs are of good quality and have a tradition of winning.

You would have to attend a home game in Raceland to get an idea. It's different then most places.

Apparently Ironton is protective of their practices. I was on my way to class and pulled over in a parking spot by the university for 5 seconds and a fan came over and ran me off because I have a Raceland sticker on my car lol they can't hide that big line !

Seems like the lines from last year's teams switched this year. LOL. Last year's Raceland Line was a big lone as well; the biggest across the board in Ram history more than likely. Averaging 6'3 278 for Raceland last year compared to the Ironton line this year averaging 6'2 247. I do believe, just like last year, the game will be won up front. Who ever's line controls the line of scrimmage is the team who will win.
