We have played 8 games, add up level 1 points and divide by 8 = 3.875 level 1 points, add up level 2 points = 126.5 divived by 89 (L2 devisor = 89) = 14.2135

 

L1-3.875 + L2-14.2135 = 18.0885 points at this time.

Out of State Teams that we beat the level 2 points for each win is based off of what the level 1 points are, example:

 

Russell = D4 in Ohio which is 5 level 1 points, so each win they have we get 5 level 2 points. 8 wins = 40 level 2 points

 

In State Teams that we beat the level 2 points are based on the Team that you beats oppnants Division that they beat, example:

Portsmout won 2 games, 1 against a division 5 Team = 4.5 points and 1 win against a Division 5 Team = 5 points for a total of 9.5 level 2 points.

By looking at this scale, Ohio teams would garner more points by playing good KY teams and beating them rather than playing and beating good OH teams. Am I correct?

Is every high school football coach in OH a math major? Seems a little confusing. I have been around KY coaches who could not figure this system out on their best days.
