Nothing of too much note in this one and rightly so.

Wags returned from his 2 game absence and led them to a 30-0 halftime lead.

CCH got many of their talented Sophs and some Frosh in.

Zieglemeyer was a Soph that really stood out including. his first Varsity TD at TE in the 2nd Quarter. He hasn't played really at all this year and is going to be a good one. He has great size at about 6'6 230 or so.

His days at TE are probably coming to an end soon.

Wow CCH used this as a "lock em in" game. Interesting.

Moving to tackle, or is he a basketball only guy after this year?

Does the win take some of the heat off Wirth?

JK....

Moving to tackle, most likely.

Did Angel get in? I wonder why he doesn't get more PT at the varsity level. Kids a player

His potential on the line is very good.

Agreed. Big frames and good feet attract attention.

The Bulldogs fought hard but just don't have enough bodies. They are down to roughly 27 players and something along the lines of only about 4 seniors. This is the last group of players that were negatively impacted the Terry Liggin staff that more or less neglected this senior class when they were freshman and into their sophomore years. They played very few freshman and even JV games and simply were not developed, therefore never developed numbers.

They have a nice sized junior class and their freshman class shows some promise but more importantly size.

They had 2-3 seniors quit and that has limited them offensively.

Hats off to the seniors who continue to battle each and every day as well as the rest of the team.

They took it to CovCath right off the bat and forced them to take a timeout to gather themselves, but a holding penalty killed any momentum.

Andrew Arnold is a really nice player and played well tonight. Quite a few freshman show action in the game tonight.

As for CovCath, if this is the team that was hyped up during the summer and earlier this year, then the expectations were a little too high.

They do not look too good against the run and with their size it seems like they really want to be a spread throwing team when personnel would dictate a more run oriented offense.

Not sure how good Johnson Central is, but they will have their work cut out trying to stop their run game.

It was 30-0 and CovCath scored a TD to make it 36-0. Why did they go for 2 up 36?

And why did they put their starting defense back in late in the game? Were the JV boys all getting hurt?

I wondered the same thing, hopefully it was just something they needed to work on.

But Cov Cath gets a pass on here for this. This sounds like a Matney stunt.
