Great job Eagles! Good for the whole program!

Good game by two evenly matched teams.

Great job Eagles!

Congrats Scott!! Huge win.

that puts Scott at 3 seed and Conner at 4 seed.

Scott was finally able to overcome a few mistakes (another red zone turnover and an untimely interception) in the first half, and played a clean second half, finally making some big plays when they needed them. The defense has played especially well since the Cooper game, and had another goal line stand tonight. Conner hit a few big plays in the passing game, but Scott got the stops when they needed them late in the game. It was a fun game to watch.

Looks like Scott had all the right answers for Conner tonight :)

Scott is in deep trouble for the playoffs if they can only put up 16 against a bad Conner D.

Conner didn't give up a ton of points to any team in district. This region is as wide open as it has ever been in the last 4 years. There isn't a dominant team out there. All teams have some good wins and some bad losses.

So what you're saying is that it's not a very good district?

I'm saying it's an even district. Say what you want about Conner's "bad" D, but the games they gave up big points in were against 6A teams early in the year. I'd say they've improved. I'd say Cooper is probably the best team in the District. The only non competitive game in district play among the 4 playoff teams was the Cooper-Scott game. The other 2 playoff teams only put up one more TD on Conner's D, and Scott fumbled inside the 5 yard line, otherwise they would have put up the same number. The other district in the region is just as up and down. Overall, I'd say both districts in the region are down. Thus my point, is that every team has a legit shot at making a run.

Aren't all interceptions untimely? :) :)

Conner moved the ball efficiently and at-will at times last night. However, penalties and dropped balls stalled several drives inside the red zone.

How about Trosper going for it on 4th and 13 from his own 7 yard line in the first half? Yowza. (They did convert).

Congrats to Scott on the win. Agree with an earlier post that it's a wide open region once the playoffs start. Anything can happen and probably will.

I wanted to use other words, but they wouldn't have gotten past the word filter:D. Untimely was the best that I could come up with without my thesaurus.

Scott's defense also made some big plays. I agree on the fake punt. Scott had it stopped, but #24 made a great effort and broke some tackles to pick it up.
