Given that info, if Belfry and South Warren would play each other THIS WEEK, who would win? I would have no problem picking SW in that scenario.

 

In that scenario I totally agree. In fact if Belfry's roster is the same as Friday they may not even be a Top 5 team in terms of this week's isolated snapshot. The injury depleted roster that played Friday would be underdogs to Central, Corbin, and Garrard County as well IMHO.

I think that's a more than fair statement. I'd pick Belfry in a state final between them and South Warren. But Belfry's injury struggles have to be accounted for and that, to me, is why South Warren is #1 THIS WEEK.

If this Belfry team is at full strength, then I think they are #1 in the class without hesitation.

I'm surprised Central is ahead of Corbin. I don't think Central has any wins as good as Corbin's victories over Bell, Southwestern, and Danville.

Corbin may get the opportunity to test themselves against Central in the playoffs, that is if Central can beat a solid Bell Co. team. Henry County may be better than we think as well and could pull an upset in the playoffs.

Corbin certainly helped themselves by beating Bell County. Central, Bell, Henry, Tilghman, South Warren - all will have to win AT Corbin in the playoffs.

SHHHHHHHHHH nobody is talking about PT. I like it this way. They have been written off. They will only be 5-5 at seasons end. They wont be able to do anything come playoffs. They are circling the wagons. Get ready for basketball PT. There isn't enough depth. South Warren has the best defense in the state. A first year coach cant win in Paducah. So forth and so on... We will see in a couple of weeks and I think some peoples feelings are going to get hurt.

I really don't think that there is a clear cut favorite. I look for some teams to come out who people aren't taling about. I think that if there is some rematches in the playoffs I look for the teams that got beat earlier to win this time around.
