Beechwood's Jacob Huff makes Cats' Pause top 10 for 9th region but no mention of him here? Just interesting how the 'powers that be' make their lists.

Did Hardin do this year's rankings again? I really like him (great guy) but his preseason rankings aren't exactly the best to go off of. One of the reasons I'm not a fan of the Cats Pause 9th region preseason coverage.

If coaches don't get back to him, he basically goes off previous season stats.

Not questioning what you saw defensively from Wilson, but I can say that defense is what made him so dominant in the post-season last year.

You beat me to it. I did not see him this summer, but to say there was a better defensive player on the floor during the Camels run to Lexington was no one else but Wilson.

I assume you are talking about Taylor Morrison...kid could fill it up.

Good assumption! Love that kid's game. His little brother and my son play AAU at the same age level, so I saw him a lot this summer at Sports of All Sorts. As good a kid as he was a basketball player.

Is other brother will be playing for SK and is 6'3 200 pounds.

Taylor pulled my son aside after a game and was incredibly kind. My son had watched him play at SK last year and it meant a lot to him. He had been guarding Taylor's brother all game, and it was the kind of move that shows his maturity and genuine love of the game.

Going to be interesting what Dixie does without BHatt

Not to sound overly clichéic, but I think Dixie may get a "Ewing Theory" bounce this year. Instead of one player that everything and everyone has to revolve around and play off of, they just go out and ball. He was a great player, a D1 kid that I think will make an impact, but I think they'll be fine this year.

I've been an Austin Schreck fan since before it was cool, and I think Rabe will also have a really big year. I like Dixie's chances at sneaking into the Top 3 this year in the 9th.

I agree with this. There is talent on that team that has not been showcased to it's complete potential, and now it will be. I'm looking forward to seeing this year's Dixie team.

Dixie's success will be determined by how well their bigs play.

Rabe, Moore, and Schreck are tough guards at both ends of the floor that will likely average 10+ ppg this year and I think Schreck can average around 10 rpg...he really came on toward the end of last season and crashed the boards hard.

If Hedger, Niehaus, and especially Bolin can make an impact defensively, I think they have enough depth to spread the scoring around amongst the other player to be successful. I also look for Isbel to finally come out of his shell and play with more confidence. He had some unreal dunks this summer. One of the best athletes in the area.

I'm really looking forward to seeing soph Hunter Meyer this year. He didn't play football this year to focus on hoops and it showed in his game. I think he will establish himself as one of the top 3-5 sophomores in the area this year. Very talented kid.

We've seen the success the football team is having with the experience that this senior class brings and I think the hoop team will experience similar results.

Dixie's success will be determined by how well their bigs play.

If Dixie makes a deep run in 6a football. Moore and Hedger will have to play catch up

NKY Coaches are sleeping on Blake Schneider. Kid is a freak athlete and very very talented.

Also wait and see if Hedger will play basketball this year. Kid is 1 or 3 TEs in the state to get D1 offers.
