Johnson Central lost to Hazard and Lawrence County. Russell beat them both.

So, all these teams are exactly the same as when these games you refer to occurred? C'mon.

Trust me Jim, I fully understand you can't compare scores and I also understand teams change throughout the season. But he said he knew for a "fact" I was just adding some doubt to his "facts"

But by comparing scores you'll like this next thing.

Russell beat Hazard and Fern Creek,

Hazard beat Johnson Central,

Fern Creek beat Madison Central, Ballard and Elizabethtown,

Madison Central beat South Laurel and Scott County,

Scott County beat Cov Catholic,

South Laurel beat Mason County (twice),

Mason County beat Boyle County

Elizabethtown beat John Hardin(3 times) and PRP

John Hard beat Warren Central

Warren Central beat Christian County and Shelby County

Shelby County beat Eastern

Eastern beat J'town

Christian County beat Apollo and Marshall County

Marshall County beat Graves County (twice)

AND THAT is how Russell should be ranked number 1.

Uhhhhh... Mason overated? are you sure we are talking about the same Mason team.

If anything this team is underated. I believe they start a freshman, 2 sophomores, a junior and a senior.

IMO they are overated based on this poll that started this thread, which put them at 8th. There are some teams listed below them that are better.

Man you need to lay off the Red Bull and get a hold of your nerves.:thumb:

I'm telling you folks, don't sell Boyle short or you might be waking up on Saturday morning to see them in the semis.

Just ask South Laurel. Boyle proved to them that they can play!

I actually had a big ole grin on my face when I did that. I knew I could make it work before I did it.

I can assure you Russell is not a 18-13 team. They have been up and down with injuries all year. They played all the way until January without the pre season 8th best player in the region in Austin Blair and he had even not fully recovered until late Febuary with Mono. Jon Vanhoose, the pre season #1 player sat out most of the beginning of the season with injury. They started out, I think, 2-8. They hit a dry spell in Febuary where one of their best players quit from an incident with the coach. They have good wins over Fern Creek and Hazard.

If you go by that logic then Central beat East Carter and Boyd County, who both beat Russell and we did beat Lawrence County at home.

I think Central is on parr with most mountain teams....Hazard is probably a little more athletic, but I think that its not impossible that Central could not beat Hazard or Russell.

I would not put Mason, Hazard or Boyle above Russell! Mason is way overated and will lose the first game as most likely will Hazard even though their draw isn't bad. Russells record is not a good indicator of their team.

Open mouth and insert foot.;) I think Russells record was a very good indicator of how bad there were.

You might wanna tell me who that would be then.hmmmmmm.
