October 13, 201411 yr Author Any updates for NKY? As of now looks like NKY maybe just looking at heavy rain and possible localized flooding. If the winds aloft stay strong some of the storms may turn severe with the primary threat being wind damage. This should happen closer to dawn on Tuesday.

October 13, 201411 yr Author Just checking the NWS Louisville office has said spotter activation maybe need tonight between 5-10 pm. Also on Tuesday and Tuesday evening. So this looks like it maybe a multi-day event. FYI, I'm a trained weather spotter registered with the NWS-Louisville office.

I just sent a picture text to my sister to see if she knows the dog. If she doesn't, I'm opening up the garage and putting some food and water in there for it so it can at least be safe through this weather.

October 13, 201411 yr Author Mesoscale discussion just issued for around the Louisville area. look for the Tornado Watch area to be extended eastward to the I-65 corridor soon.
October 13, 201411 yr I remember when I was young I used to be TERRIFIED at the thought of a Tornado Watch. Like shaking scared... Then I'd be glued to the TV the entire night watching the weather man on TV tracking storms. I guess that's why I enjoy it so much now, kind of backwards.
