I've noticed. The only way I can keep of with the 'Neers anymore is through here. And coming from someone who was there for the very low's of Simon Kenton and privileged enough to be there for the turnaround, the negative reactions he gets from some of the "off the wall" remarks tarnishes what Marksberry has started to build in Independence.

I love how these conversations always come back to the same thing. How often does Highlands beat St.Xavier/Trinity/Male/Manual? Not necessarily a shot at those guys (maybe a little one...) but the Louisville schools are really good. No team in NKY has the speed, size and depth to match up with those guys. You may sneak out a win every once in a while but not very often.

 

But are you losing to the Louisville schools every year? Everyone says, "well you couldn't beat them either". But you're not even making it to them. If you were losing to Male, X or T and SC last year and this year, I could see it. But you're not. When is the last time you played a super district team?

I always wondered if uk's mouth upset some of the SK alum as much as it would if he were talking about my school.

 

Hopefully we hear more from you as you can balance out the posts in SK's favor and we can find ourselves rooting for the team

Who gives a flying fickle who's #1 in N KY.....or Louisville or E KY or W Ky or.... What I look at is have you improved during the season, how well do you play at playoff time and do you advance. You can be #1 all year in your part of the state, but if you don't do anything at playoff time, so what.

I've read most of the posts and feel compelled to suggest the following: SK is having a very fine season as is HHS. I attended the HHS game versus Christopher Columbus and can say with 100% certainty that was an excellent team. I don't believe the SK fans and advocates will recant their opinions regardless of the HHS posts. History suggests HHS is the more successful program, head to head, within their division and at the state level. Lastly I know human nature is such that if your team/program is not recognized as the pinnacle program you chose to debate your position while stats and data indicate otherwise. Dixie versus SK should be a good game and the outcome might possibly quiet a few voices!

Unlike some NKY schools who have an easy road to Bowling Green, 6A in NKY has to play real football schools to get to a championship.

Southern and Seneca are in Louisville.

 

I know, but I thought it was assumed we were talking about the ones I mentioned, not the ones that aren't at that level. I'll give those then. But like I said, do you want me to post the rest of the HHS "non-NKY records?"
