#8 Golden Lions finish off a big district victory over #4 Bourbon County. Garrard led 24-0 at halftime, held off a third quarter rally by Bourbon that saw the Colonels cut the score to 24-12, and then scored midway through the fourth quarter to finish it off.

 

Garrard moves into first place in the district, but will still have to win at Western Hills and will have to beat a strong Estill County team in two weeks. Bourbon finishes district play with Bath County and Powell County.

Only game this year I just couldn't make.......figures.

Not sure why people seem so surprised by this game... The score, maybe, but not the Garrard win. The game was really dominated by Garrard, I thought.

Because no one talks much about Garrard County football so when we see a score like this against a Bouron County team that I believe has lost less than 7 games since Coach Hodge took over at Bourbon County it is surprising.

It wasn't meant as an insult or compliment. I'm talking about here on BGP. I'm not even sure if there was even a Garrard County/Bourbon County Prediction thread. I congratulate every Garrard County victory and offer words of encouragement when I see Garrard County loses mainly because I really like gchs_uk9 a lot. I want to see Garrard County do well under Jerry Perry but how am I supposed to know that Garrard County has risen to the level of dominating Bourbon County if no one is on here saying "we're going to dominate Bourbon County when we play them?"

 

I get my football information from this forum. Best forum in the state for high school football. That's all I am saying. I bet this week Garrard County will get discussed a lot more.
