Mason Conty V/S George Rogers Clark 10th Region Championship

BGGREEN,

My comments are certainly controversial but not off based.

The only player who would have a chance to start for Mason, Pendleton or Clark Co. is the big, wide kid they had (forget his name). He is a very solid player and gets the most out of his potential.

You tell me who he could start over at the 4 or 5 for either of these three teams.

Your loyalty jeopardizes your ability to be objective, I understand. But this is just obvious. Sorry.

Your understanding of these kids is overwhelming; are you available to scout?? I can see your report now:

"Nobody who could start for anyone else in the finals." "One big, wide kid (don't know his name or number) is OK but not as good as any of the other big men." "Don't know anyone's name or number, but they aren't very good." "Darn good coaches though, because they manage to play with everybody!!"

I think Coach Humphries, O'Hern or Biggs could find a place for a couple of the Brossart starters. For example, I think Troy Cooper (#44--the big, wide kid I think you're referring to) or Jimmy Uebel (#33 guard/forward) might be able to crack one of those three lineups?? The coaches who voted on the "All 10th region" team thought so, but how could their knowledge possibly compare to yours????

Brossart is down but then again so is the region and so is the state. Mason County has two guys on the bench in King and Browning, that are ten times better than two guys they start in Pawsat and Scott. The Officating was questionalble on both sides last night so it cancels out.

I've said it since December, GRC wins the region. Mason will have trouble guarding Clark man to man because of Knowles, the only guy who can guard him is Miller. With Miller on Knowles that will limit his rebounding opportunities. Turner will have to have a huge game on the glass. King should see more minutes tonight because of his defense. If Mason limits the Cards second chance opportunities then they should be in good shape.

Cardinals 75

Royals 69

Troy Cooper. That's his name.

You are out of your mind if you think he would start for any of those three teams. Geez. Take off the green glasses.

Pendleton, Mason and GRC all have all-region players at those positions too. And this argument is bunk anyway. All region does not make you a better player comparatively to other teams.

For example, do you think the kid at Deming or Augusta who makes all-region is better than a starter for Pendleton Co. who is ranked in the top 5 in the state. Based on your past comments, you probably do, but 9 out of ten unbiased fans would not agree with you.

I am not bashing Mr. Cooper, I loved watching him play. I was just trying to make a point about the talent at Brossart being very, very low and they showed great courage to almost win that game.

:fight: :flame: :fight: :fire:

It's gettin rough in here. I say Clark by 7. 68-61

Gotta agree with you as well BG on this one!!!!!

It's kind of ironic that both Mason and GRC both have the same exact record of 22-8. Who would of ever thought that 23 wins would be the magic number?

GRC looked like the better team last night. Of course tonight, that means nothing. But I think that GRC wins a nailbiter.

I am very unbiased for this region but I say it's a tossup so I have to go with the Mason by 2.

When the game is over, could someone please post the all-tournament team.

Thanks
