Brown Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 down 8 great kick return to set up TD with under 2 minutes to play for the Dragons but 2 pt conversion fails OHS runs out clock. Horrible conditions, oboro controlled 1st and 4th , WC 2nd and 3rd. Whoever was against the wind struggled.
Purple88 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I knew this one would be close. Congrats to the Red Devils - Big Win. They should be able to roll for awhile and get some kids healthy and getvready for the playoffs. I wouldnt want to travel to Rash Stadium this playoff season! For the Dragons, really tough loss. It will be a difficult 2 weeks preparing for the Purples with this taste in your mouth.
PurplePride92 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Owensboro should be the #2 team in 4A. Good win Owensboro!!!!
BIG BLACK JACK Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Though to not be able to throw the ball all night due to terrible conditions, thought WC played well. Some of the play calling.....
Brown Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I agree BBJ it affected both teams. Our QB throws a really nice ball but you wouldn't know it tonight.
Brown Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 WC has a solid team very nice Back and defense. IM sure both teams would have rather had decent weather

DragonFire Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Not sure what to read off the game because of the elements. Owensboro is very good and part of me is pleased WC played with them. I think whichever team lost was going to feel like they should have won. It is a bitter pill to swallow that they lost. Five turnovers is too much to overcome in most circumstances. If I'm not incorrect, three of Owensboro's four TDs came off those turnovers, including a pick six when WC was inside the Devil 15. The Dragon defense played well, and the ground attack was much improved. Just wish they had won.
