I could never be a police officer because I am profiling every one that I come into contact with. I see 6 dudes walking down the street, I'm checking it out. I see what may be a gun, I am definitely checking it out because I want to go home tonight and I want all 6 of those guys to go home tonight. These kids are lucky something bad didn't happen. You've got to be smarter than this.

Innocent until proven guilty is for the court of law. I'm not a juror, judge, attorney or police officer involved in this investigation so I'm entitled to my opinion based on the facts we know now.

 

Do you really think the Fayette County Attorney would waste time going forward with charges if they weren't certain they had something to go with? Why would Kentucky suspend the players 1 game if they weren't certain they were involved? Think about that and I'll wait here for your next off the wall strange statement about how they were profiled, falsely accused or wrongfully arrested.

Well the "kids" have admitted to having airsoft guns and helped the police recover them from what I understand.

 

Do airsoft guns make any sound? I know the one sitting under my desk does. It doesn't make the sound of a real gun but it makes a sound. Now I don't know UK's campus very well but could the area they were in caused an echo that sounded like a gunshot? Could the airsoft pellets hit something metal that made a loud bang? I don't know and I'm willing to bet you don't either.

 

What evidence do they have in their favor? Admitting they screwed up? That's not in their favor. Helping police to recover the airsoft guns? Not in their favor.

 

I think you are trying to act like you have this great legal knowledge because a relative was an attorney but it seems you haven't looked into the case (that's key in law if you didn't know) and try to base your arguments on a lot of misinformation (that you are conceiving from somewhere). Read the articles about the incident and everything that followed then get back to us.

As far as me trying to act like I have great legal knowledge and the rest of what you said after is complete garbage. If you had read my previous posts you would see that I said I know no where near what an attorney does. I have also mentioned numerous times that I know nothing about the incident other than what is posted here and have based my responses from what was mentioned here. I have mentioned several times that none of us really know what is going on. If that is misinformation in your mind, so be it.

By the way, a description from an eye witness can hold a lot of weight in court. A photo of people with a plastic gun would not hold much weight in court if indeed gunshots were reported.

Well, here is something not brought up yet. If someone isn't happy with the punishment/charges etc. such as a parent of a student who was terrified when all they got was a text saying there is a gunman and they are on lock down. There could possibly be a civil suit against the University etc.

 

I've heard of crazier things happening especially when it comes to civil suits.

 

Wait, since I have a daughter at UK, then I can sue these four individuals? Because as I see it, UK didn't do anything wrong. Who do I call for advise, JD?
